(David Mack) Just when folks thought they might be able to tweet with impunity, the upstanding citizens at FactCheck.org decide to ruin the fun. The uber truth squad kicked off a new feature this week that will pour through the tweets of elected officials and identify those that stretch the truth or flat out lie.
The fact checkers found that mis-tweeting is an equal opportunity game with Democrats and Republicans both joining in the fun. Mark Milian at the Los Angeles Times wrote up a nice piece on the service that includes some key jems.
I say thank you to the folks at FactCheck who are working hard to not only keep our elected officials honest but also keeping up with the the times. This is another great example of why people should not fear a changing media landscape.
Can't wait to see what grade they give our friend @chavezcandanga.
I'm still not entirely comfortable with receiving sensitive information like that through tweets.

I’m really loving the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility issues? A few of my blog visitors have complained about my blog not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any tips to help fix this problem?

When I originally commented I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now whenever a comment is added I get four emails with the exact same comment. There has to be a way you are able to remove me from that service? Cheers!

Having read this I believed it was rather enlightening. I appreciate you taking the time and energy to put this short article together. I once again find myself spending a lot of time both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile!
