(Jim Hock) In all the heated rhetoric we've heard over the past 2 years about lobbyists, you sometimes forget that their are outstanding people in DC who everyday fight the good fight for great causes (and don't get huge paydays). One of those is Jim Seeley, who announced his retirement as the chief lobbyist for the City of Los Angeles after 34 years of service. In that time, Jim served 4 different mayors and was with the City through riots, floods, earthquakes and helping enact countless policies that helped so many pursue economic opportunity and a better life.
I worked as an intern for Jim and am proud to call him a mentor as well as great friend. Last night it was an honor to be among the many FOJs to raise a glass to Jim and his career. I can say without question that my life (and countless others) is better for having worked with Jim Seeley and been around him. As one of our mutual reporter friends said this week, "Jim is one of the most gracious men ever to set foot in Washington DC. I don't believe I have ever known anyone in government with less ego and more kindness."
Amen to that. We wish Jim, his wife Jo Ann and their 11 kids (yes, 11) and their multitude of grandchildren the best in the years to come.
Check out this blog post in the National Journal about Jim.
Spot on with this write-up, I honestly think this website needs a lot more attention. I’ll probably be returning to see more, thanks for the advice!

Another thing I have really noticed is that for many people, bad credit is the reaction of circumstances outside of their control. For instance they may be really saddled through an illness so they have substantial bills for collections. Maybe it's due to a occupation loss or the inability to go to work. Sometimes separation and divorce can send the finances in a downward direction. Thanks for sharing your opinions on this website.

The facts i have found out are:Shrimps is very poorly becuase he has been beat up by boys who tried to steal his shillings(victorian money),his face is exsteramly pale,he is afraid to get a doctor incase he gets sent to the workhouse and he refuses to go to hospital. My opinion is Jim needs to get a doctor for Shrimps or else Shrimps may lose his life.Another reason is Shrimps will receive his health back. There is also a negitive side to this, the doctor they go to may be a fake, unqualifed doctor or may see they are to under age to be looking after themselves ad might send them to the workhouse. It is quite a dangerouse thing to do for such little boys,so thy both need a plan my suggestoin is,the children instead of bringing Shrimps to the doctor i think Jim should try to bring the doctor to Shrimps and just incase the doctor trys to hurt them hey should keep weapons near.My final decision is Jim should get a doctor for Shrimps.

The facts that I know are:Shrimps is very poorly bsceuae he got beaten up by some boys who wanted some shillings ( Victorian money). He is afraid that if he ges to the doctor the doctor might sent to the workhouse and he refuses to accept the doctor. My opinion is Jim needs to get a doctor bsceuae Shrimps will get even better and he will be able to eat ,drink and get healhy. The negative points are the doctor might know the people from the workhouse or he might know Grimy Nick.On the other hand I wouldn't get the doctor bsceuae Jim would break his promise and Shrmps doesn't want to go .The doctor might be a fake doctor and the doctor mih be from the workhouse. However I can solve this problem by changing clothes with a friend or change my appearance and on the other hand i could get the doctor bsceuae Shrimps would get beter and healthier. My final decision is that Jim should take Shrimps to the doctor

I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both equally educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is something which too few folks are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy I came across this during my hunt for something regarding this.

The next time I read a blog, I hope that it does not disappoint me just as much as this one. After all, Yes, it was my choice to read, nonetheless I truly believed you would have something useful to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of complaining about something that you could possibly fix if you weren't too busy looking for attention.

An interesting discussion is worth comment. I do think that you should publish more on this subject, it might not be a taboo subject but usually people do not discuss such issues. To the next! Many thanks!!
