(Jim Hock) The Washington Post's Bob Samuelson today writes a great piece on the U.S. economy of how a "can-do culture" must combine at its bedrock: intense ambition; flexibility to adapt; and (in our view, most importantly) an "instinct for innovation."
Samuelson calls entrepreneurship the "sleeper issue" that can help us overcome.
Yes, most of us get this but we'd like to make sure that our political leaders recognize this too as Bob rightly points out that "all net job creation from 1980 to 2005 came from firms that were five years old or less, according to a study by economists John Haltiwanger of the University of Maryland and Ron Jarmin and Javier Miranda of the Census Bureau."
Extremely important point there. Entrepreneurs create those small firms which in turn create jobs. Let's make sure we make our policies clear to help them unleash that potential. In my view, we can do that by getting health care right (and completed) and then move on to strong job creation in 2010.

they got 100% because they can throw out the rest of the cminumoty who cant afford it.if polaris was a PUBLIC school, then this would be a big deal.but considering the staff can give As (literally) and they can pick and choose students like grapes, this isnt a big deal.
