(by Jim Hock) When it comes to progress on climate change and energy, we're ones to be hopeful that progress has already begun. Yes, President Obama will travel to Copenhagen to tell us what the U.S. will do to reduce emissions and that's a good thing. But other nations are stepping up as well.
This is a good thing for clean tech which will be the greatest economic opportunity of this century and oh by the way clean our planet. John McCain was right during the campaign when he said no matter what you think of global warming, moving in a positive direction on energy will help create new industries and markets. In 2007, in the early stages of his campaign for President, Senator McCain said in Gilford, New Hampshire that "I am absolutely convinced that to continue to ignore this issue (of climate change) and take no steps is going to give (these) young people a planet that is far different than today. The overwhelming majority of scientific opinion says its real."
Senator McCain is right. And handling our energy challenge will grow markets, grow jobs and be good for the planet. Pretty simple stuff. Now you see why wind farms are sprouting like crazy in China? We have a number of great clients in Copenhagen such as Cisco's Laura Ipsen and Carbonetworks Michael Meehan, among others. In fact, Mr. Meehan, the CEO of Carbonetworks, just wrote a few great pieces in Huffington Post and San Jose Mercury News on this issue. Check them out. Remember, green is good for business.
It will continue to be the status quo that it has always been. Lots of big words, fancy lawyer style writing that no one can understand, and perhaps millions of dollars more of the taxpayers money being squandered..

India set a goal on Thursday for slowing the growth of its greenhouse gas emissions, the last major economy to offer a climate target four days before the start of U.N. talks on combating global warming.

Well, depending on if you have a techy,"I can fix everything" husband or not,you usually will want to buy it yourself. The techy type would buy you a car that is in good working order, but you probably won't like it.

They are intelligent enough to know, and someone needs to let the deniers know that virtually all scientific organizations, worldwide, have concluded that AGW is real, and a few criminally hacked emails, taken out of context are meaningless.

The light he saw was he wouldn't even win a primary next time as a Republican. Didn't stand a chance in hell of raising enough money to win as an independant like Joe Lieberman did.

Some scientific information revealing the truth about global warming, when it happened and what probably caused it. And as well how many years, centuries or millennia it might be before the world warms up again from the coming ice age.

But I think the best way now is to use a MiFi device which allows you to make your own personal portable wifi hotspot, which is really convenient when you're travelling and moving around.

Occasionally, some company will get squirrelly and try to release a book or a CD on a Monday so that it can report higher weekly sales figures. According to another music insider, these companies are generally seen as scourges that need to be napalmed from the air.
