I'm back in Aspen for what I think is my fifth PFF Aspen summit in a row. The last two were well documented on this blog. But, really, why should I even try to blog from here when I have to compete with Cato's Jim Harper? His musings this morning:
Liveblogging from the PFF Aspen Summit
8:09 am - Seems that Cord forgot to bring toothpaste. They sell it in the St. Regis, but at a price!
8:17 am - Bacon! And there’s sausage patties too, but bacon is what really excites people.
8:25 am - Am I the only one wearing sneakers?
8:35 - A little chilly here in the conference room.
Jim did make up for this with a thoughtful post on this morning's keynote that also includes a pointer to presentation made by Harvard Economics Professor Dale Jorgensen.
Heather Greenfield is also here blogging for Tech Daily.
How about me, you ask? Um... I'll give you one reason. I'm hoping to do some video stuff here. It will be forthcoming.
Plus, the real interesting stuff happens here outside of the panels. Like watching DC-types jump over fountains of water at 2:00 a.m..... (bad camera phone photo, but, it's best that way...)
I'm looking for a great quotes that i can use on my everyday task and duties. Lucky enough to drop by on your blog. Thanks.

We had just driven throguh the area Friday July 28!!! When we were at the observatory at the lava beds we saw storm clouds building up over the Sisters!I was on Hinkle (today called Henkle ) Butte Lookout in 1952 and 1953. I still feel like those trees that were my charges over 50 years ago are like my children. It is sad so many have been burned over the years! Too many homes built where they never should have been built!I live near Roseburg now.Hope they get the fire our soon. Does anybody know if the fire has gotten close to Graham Corral Horse Camp? I was planning to go there next spring with my friends and horses.Lois (Christiansen) Eagleton

I've been following your jnuroey from afar with interest, having crossed this country nine times in vehicles of varying degrees of reliability. We've had distributor wires pop off climbing steep mountainsides, head gaskets blow on windswept prairies, rods thrown through crankcases on interstate highways, and the clincher - a VW van engine that burst into flame at dawn right after we crossed the Mississippi. The point is, we made it through each of these mishaps, and you will make it through yours. Our children were young on these trips and the memories of these events are now the adventures we all treasure. Don't despair, Cage Free Family. Keep the focus on "Free" and hang in there. You'll come through it fine (it just may not feel like it at the time).

Regards for all your efforts that you have put in this. Very interesting info. "No news at 430 a.m. is good." by Lady Bird Johnson.

I do love the manner in which you have presented this difficulty plus it does offer us some fodder for thought. Nonetheless, from what I have seen, I simply just hope as the actual reviews stack on that men and women continue to be on issue and don't get started upon a soap box involving the news du jour. All the same, thank you for this fantastic point and even though I can not really go along with this in totality, I regard your viewpoint.

When I initially left a comment I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the exact same comment. Is there a way you can remove me from that service? Kudos!

Having read this I believed it was really enlightening. I appreciate you spending some time and energy to put this content together. I once again find myself personally spending a lot of time both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worth it!
