Nearly everyone we talk to in Washington think that the content industry overstepped their bounds with the draft legislation. The thinking, folks say, is that if you start from the extreme, than you'll be happy with the eventual compromise (see the Induce Act). Yet, when even your friends can't support you, did you do your long-term credibility on the issue justice?
