As a follow-up to our mini-primer on RFID policy and perceptions, The 463 thought folks would be interested in an European Commision advisory group's ethical advisments on implanting RFID chips in humans. From Silicon.com....
"The European Commission this week adopted an opinion on the ethical aspects of ICT implants in the human body, declaring they should only be given to those in need rather than those who wish to enhance their faculties."
Coming soon: RFID testing at chess tournaments.
"The EC, however, believes that using implants as surveillance tools is acceptable, as long as government has legislated for it first."
To the great disapointment of parents everywhere....
"The use of ICT implants in order to obtain remote control over the will of people should be strictly prohibited."
On a serious note, it's only a matter of time before Congress begins to hold hearings on similar issues.
I'm looking for a great quotes that i can use on my everyday task and duties. Lucky enough to drop by on your blog. Thanks.

I am sorry for it. The introduction must be unpleasant, whenever it takes place; and the sooner it could be over the better.''

Yes; and every delay makes one more apprehensive of other delays. Even if this family, the Braithwaites, are put off, I am still afraid that some excuse may be found for disappointing us.

I cannot bear to imagine any reluctance on his side; but I am sure there is a great wish on the Churchills to keep him to themselves. There is jealousy.

There is only one outlet so meaning have to choose between, there won't be a problem if I use one company for both however I use satellite with Directv and cable internet with Charter so therefore must have two separate lines so need to have two outlets.-SG

It'll be compulsory in about 15 years. First we chip the pets, becasue after all, they can't go up to a policeman and say they are lost, then we're doing this at resorts, to show that the whole idea is harmless, then we'll chip our Dementia and Alzheimer's patients in case they get out and can't be found, then it will be all patients at hospitals, since the chip can't be lost like the wrist band can, then it will be voluntary, to get you through the airport faster, or into sports arenas, then for credit card purchases, then general identification, then it will be compulsory since it works so well. . .Meet your transportation. It's called a handbasket. You don't get to decide where you're going.

I can't beivele I'm the first!out of 5 starsI can't beivele I'm the first person to write a review of Patriotic and Morning Time Songs! My Mom discovered this album when we were living in Evanston. She checked it out of the public library and taped it for me, along with several other children's albums. This is in my opinion not specifically a children's album. I still listen to it. All your favorite Patriotic songs are here. This is a must for 4th of July!
